Paramedics from Langamed Emergency Services stabilize Ms Salome Thibela who was involved in the accident on OR Tambo Street on Wednesday, March 2.

Three vehicles were involved in an accident in OR Tambo Street, they were a grey Volkswagen Polo, silver Chevrolet and a white Quantum mini bus.

Thibela was driving the Polo, it’s alleged that she was travelling from Tasbet Park towards Klipfontein.
The woman driving the silver Chevrolet was also travelling in the same direction.
Mr Jabu Mabena who was driving the Quantum was travelling in the same direction behind the other two vehicles.
It’s still unclear how the accident happened, but the front of the Quantum was damaged and Thibela alleged that she was hit from the back then collided into the Chevrolet.

“I just sustained minor injuries, four other passengers in my vehicle also sustained minor injuries,” said Mabena.

All of the passengers including Mabena were treated for their injuries.
Thibela was seriously injured and was treated immediately on scene, stabilized and taken to Life Cosmos Hospital for further treatment.

“I am still in hospital, I have a bad cut on my head and my body has pains all over,” said Thibela.

The woman in the Chevrolet was also tended to and taken to hospital for further treatment.
