Three people rushed to hospital after four cars crash

“I am fine, I am just worried about my patients who were rushed to hospital,”

It was going to be her first day at work for the driver of the red Bantam, Miss Siya Mpokeli when she got involved in this tragic incident.

“I was looking forward to my first day at work, but all is well,” said Mpokeli.

Four cars were involved in an accident where three passengers were rushed to hospital by paramedics. The accident took place at the T-junction turning towards Kusile Power Station on March 1 just after 07:00. It is alleged that a silver Toyota Avanza was travelling from Kusile Power Station’s direction when he did not stop at a T-junction and crashed into a white Corolla driven by Miss Busisiwe Dube which was travelling from Bethal to Pretoria. Mpokeli who was turning towards Kusile was caught up in the commotion and could not swerve her car in time which led to the white Polo driving into her car.

Dube is an employee of a hospital in Bethal who was in a car with a nurse and two patients whom she was transporting to a hospital in Pretoria.

“I am fine, I am just worried about my patients who were rushed to hospital,” said Dube.

All cars were towed off the scene and hours later the road was cleared.
