Father of three will be missed

Mr Lucky Zabu Mampuru passed away at the age of 35 years in a tragic motorcycle accident that took place last week.

Mampuru was travelling up Beatty Avenue when he and a red Toyota Conquest collided at the intersection.

According to surveillance footage a taxi had stopped in the right hand lane heading up Beatty, it had its hazards on, Mampuru was travelling up the road in the left hand lane and at the same time the Toyota was turning right into Kruger Street while coming down Beatty Avenue
At this point the collision occurred and Mampuru was flung off of his motorcycle, landing near the sidewalk.

“We were coming down Beatty, there was a Quantum that was indicating to turn left, we indicated to turn right and went through the intersection it was then we crashed with the bike,” said Ms Busi Mahlangu, sister to the driver of the Toyota Conquest.

Mahlangu went on to say that her sister, Ms Julia Mnyanga sought help from Beatty Clinic asking them to contact an ambulance to tend to the accident.

Paramedics from Langamed Emergency Management Services tended to the scene and were able to somewhat stabilise Mampuru, he had sustained severe internal injury and was rushed to Witbank Hospital, he later passed away not being able to survive his injuries.

“We have been together for three years and have a baby girl, her name is Makgotso,” said his girlfriend, Ms Mahlatse Shakong.

She went on to say that he was a kind and caring man and that he was always lending a helping hand. “He was loving,” she said. They often rode together on his motorcycle.
Mampuru leaves behind his girlfriend, his daughter, and two children from a previous relationship.
He will be laid to rest this Saturday in Mamone, Limpopo.
