Boyagain Mthombeni (Piano) and Phumelele Mathunjwa (Vocals) obtained their Licentiate Diplomas from The Academy for Contemporary, Jazz and Gospel music of South Africa.
The Licentiate Diploma in music is a diploma awarded by the examination to outstanding candidates in the fields of musical performance and music theory.

“Congratulations and may you succeed in all your future musical endeavors,” said Ms Marié Lombard trainer from Witbank Arts Campus.


The students from Witbank Arts Campus that obtained their Licentiate Diplomas; standing with them is their teacher Marié Lombard; (in front) Boyagain Mthombeni (piano) and Phumelele Mathunjwa (vocals).

Boyagain has been at Witbank Arts Campus for the last four years.

“I play piano and I also play drums and bass guitar,” he said.

Boyagain loves music; it’s his life and his passion. He has been apart of the band Leven for the last three years.

“Boyagain is an amazing person and he really knows what he’s doing on the keyboard in the band,” said Stan Kruger, the lead singer and guitarist in the band.

“I am currently working on a recording studio, then I would like to be a producer and I love teaching,” said Boyagain.

Boyagain attended Duvha Park Primary School then he matriculated at Hoërskool Patriot.

“I can recommend the campus to anyone that wants to learn the basics about music or even if they would like to go further in various instruments,” said Boyagain.

Boyagain has learnt a lot from the Art campus and he looks forward to his future.
