A woman was approached by another woman who wanted to buy a cell phone on her account.
The incident happened on Tuesday, January 5 at 17:00 in the Central Business District (CBD) at a well known shop.
The amount for the cell phone was R5499; the suspect then informed the woman that head office would contact her with regard to the information buying the cell phone.
When she went to the information centre in the shop and on the computer it said; beware its fraud.
The woman then went to the fraud department and they checked all the information and discovered that the real owner of the account lives in Ermelo, she has the original ID and account card with her.
The suspect was arrested and taken to Witbank Police Station for fraud.
