Emmanuel Victim Centre decided to observe the 16 days of no violence against women and children by donating groceries to victims of crime.

The centre decided to observe the event in a special way by handing out food parcels to victims of crimes and child headed families. The donation was held at the Siphosensimbi Clinic in KwaGuqa Extension 5 on Tuesday, December 15.
According to the director of the centre Mr Loster Mashigo, the centre was started in 2009 and the aim was to empower victims of crime. He also added to say that the project was part of the National Crime Prevention Strategy Programme. They are helping victims of crime with their needs, visiting them at their homes and assisting them to know about their rights.

“We identify victims of crime at police station and thereafter we establish contact. As we commemorate the 16 days of activistim against women and children we decided to hand over food parcels and gifts to the three families. Some of these families are orphans while others are from child headed families,” stated Mr Mashigo.
