Members of the ANC Youth League came to the rescue of the Mdluli elderly couple when they put up a new roof in their house in Hlalanikahle.
The members of the league were supported by Cllr Meisie Ndlovu ward 1 councillor. The members said the roof had developed some leaks after they occupied the RDP house some years back. They tried to patch the roof but that did not work.
The members then decided to spend their 67 minutes to put up a new roof, do some painting and other chores. Some local business people contributed towards a party that was later held for Mr Nkabinde Moses Mdluli (96) and his wife Lettie Mdluli (69). Other elderly people were invited during the celebrations.
