Gordon Road heist

Shots fired during the heist left one policeman in ICU.

The robbery took place last night on July 13 at approximately 21:30 in Gordon Road opposite the petrol station.

The police officer that was hit during the shootout with robbers was  sent for surgery to remove the round logged in his pelvis. The Witbank SAPS commander said, “We will work around the clock to track these perpetrators down.”

The officer was shot in both legs while they chased the escaping robbers on the old Ogies Road 10 kilometres outside of eMalahleni.

SAPS urges anyone who might have information regarding the heist to report it anonymously to Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
