Five busted with drugs

There’s no escaping the long arm of the law for drug dealers and users.

The Witbank SAPS continues to deliver results during weekly operations in eMalahleni.

Two men were arrested on Friday June 26 in the Central Business District (CBD). According to police, the first arrest of the day was made when police officials discovered a man in possession of a considerable amount of dagga. The dagga, which was wrapped in paper, was confiscated and the suspect arrested.
The second arrest was made in Jellicoe Street, where police officials witnessed two suspicious men engaged in conversation. Wasting no time the police officials caught up to the men and discovered one of the suspects with a suspicious-looking plastic bag in his hand. The bag contained 13 individually wrapped plastic balls filled with drugs. The suspect was brought in to Witbank Police Station.

On Saturday June 27, two more suspects were arrested. The first suspect was also found with dagga and police made their last arrest in the CBD when they followed and halted a man who hid 18 pinches in the pocket of his jacket.
The Witbank SAPS promises to continue their fight against drugs and bring drug dealers and users to justice.
