Missing for six months, Stan turned 31

What would have been a day of celebration in the Davies family with gifts and cards; was a day of sorrow.

Mr Jason Stanleigh Davies turned 31-years-old on Monday, June 22 but he never received any gifts except all his family and friends could do was write a message on his Facebook page.
June 2, marked the six month mark that Davies disappeared without a trace and up to date no one is the wiser on his whereabouts.

Ms Alwena Denton, Davies godmother who resides in Cape Town wrote this message to Davies on Facebook; “On your 31st birthday, and always… Stan, we will be searching for you and the truth, until we find it or you. Waiting for your return… Love and Miss You.”
Messages just kept flowing in from his friends, such as.
“Happy Birthday to you (where ever you are)! So hope we get to know the full story of your disappearance one day,” wrote Ms Karien Bornheim.
“Happy Birthday Peanut, I hope you are okay, wherever you are,” wrote Ms Tánia Rista Wilson.

On Tuesday, December 2 Davies went missing from Hatfield Gautrain Station in the mid afternoon.
Ms Laura Irving, Davies’ roommate for the past seven years, was chatting to Davies while he was on his way to the University of Pretoria.
“At 12:36 he told me that his cell phone battery was going flat and that he would let me know when he arrived safely at the university,” said Irving.

In his next Whatsapp message, Davies told Irving that he thinks he is being followed.
According to Irving, Davies explained via Whatsapp messages that a man got into the same taxi as he did, near his house in Orchards, Johannesburg. The man then got off with Davies at the Rosebank Gautrain Station, where they boarded the same train and got off in Hatfield.
Since then Irving has not heard from him. She has opened a missing person’s case at Brooklyn Police Station, and has gone to all the newspapers in Pretoria.
Davies had Irving’s bankcard with him and at 15:11 on the same day she received an SMS that R3000 had been withdrawn from her account in Sandton.

At the time of Davies’ disappearance, he carried his blue Quicksilver rucksack containing his laptop. He also had his ID and phone with him. He has short brown hair, light green eyes and is about 1.7 metres tall and of medium build.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Brooklyn Police Station on 012 366 1700.
