On Monday, May 25 the man was spotted entering the vacant home on the corner of Lana and Gerda streets, members of the Model Park Community Policing Forum were notified of the suspect’s whereabouts, it was also called in on the Witbank 911 Zello channel.
After a narrow escape the suspect was once again apprehended when he tried to jump a wall.
The joint effort by members of CPF, CSC Tactical and Witbank 911 lead to the successful arrest of the suspect, who was found in possession of copper piping.
