Pedestrian hit twice

A pedestrian was struck down while walking along the Bethal Road.

The accident took place on May 16 at about 19:55.
Police received a call from the control room stating that there had been a pedestrian vehicle accident.
When police arrived on scene they spoke to the driver of a white BMW, who said that he was driving in the fast lane when the pedestrian walked into the path of his vehicle.

The driver added that a white Volkwagen Jetta also collided with the pedestrian, but did not stop to report the incident.
Paramedics from Langamed Emergency Management Services arrived on scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.

The deceased was identified by a friend, but has not yet been formally identified by next of kin.
