Kabod House and Huis Betsie Louw receive generous contributions

Glencore, Tweefontein Complex made generous contributions to two great causes.

On Thursday, April 30, Sarel Lessing (Human Resource Manager, Tweefontein Complex), Manuel Longueira (Assistant General Manager, Tweefontein Complex) and Elria van Rooyen (Human Resource Officer, Tweefontein Complex) visited Kabod House as well as Huis Betsie Louw. Baby products in abundance were given to Kabod House and a cash donation to Huis Betsie Louw.

Kabod House is a house for abused and abandoned children, from birth to 18 months of age. They depend only on community contributions and Glencore made many hearts happy. Their existence marks six years in August and many children have gone in and out of this safe harbour. Ms Alet Lombaard is the house mother and a mother figure to all these children.

Ms Loraine Prinsloo is the newly appointed project leader. Together, with staff, they take care of these children and give them a home until placed in foster care or with adoptive parents.
Huis Betsie Louw has been in existence for approximately 27 years. Their aim is to provide an affordable house for the mentally and physically disabled, in a house environment.
Mr David van der Merwe is the chairperson of the day staff. Ms Sophie Mathelela is one of the house mothers, providing a housing environment for the residents of the house.

Glencore, Tweefontein Complex is sure to receive great thanks for their very generous contributions made to these two homes.
