Easter holidays cut short for one school

Whilst learners and staff at most schools enjoyed Easter holidays, Mogalithwa Primary School in Klarinet Extension 6 had to cut their festivities short as their premises were broken into.

Suspects broke into the school on April 7 at 17:00 and again the next day at about the same time.
Thieves allegedly broke into one of the mobile classes and stole an electrical DB box worth R3 500. They also attempted to steal the aircon but failed.

The school’s principal said she left school in order, but received a phone call the next day to inform her that her school had been broken into.
“When I rushed to the place I found that the window had been broken and the DB box had been stolen,” says the principal, who didn’t want to be named.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident.
