Woman dies after been struck by lightning
Another person has been struck by lightning and died from her injuries.
On Friday, April 10 a 32-year-old woman, Ms Faith Makate, was struck by lightning at approximately 13:00.
She resides in Kwa-Guqa and it’s still unclear where Makate was when she was struck.
Emergency services attended to Makate and she was taken to Life Cosmos Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Makate is fourth person to have been struck by lightning within the last month and the third person who has died.
The family member who formally identified Makate could not be reached for comment.
