Suspect appeared in court for stabbing woman 12 times

The suspect that Warrant Officer Bongi Malepe caught for allegedly stabbing a woman 12 times has appeared again in court.

On April 1 the suspect appeared again in Court B at Witbank Magistrate’s Court for the brutal stabbing and theft that occurred last year October at a home in Susanna Street.

The case was postponed for Regional Court on Friday, May 8 and he will remain in custody.
Ms Heleen Jansen van Rensburg was at home with her three children at the time of the incident.

She heard a noise from inside her bedroom, when she went to see what was happening, the suspect was already in her bedroom.
He first threatened Jansen van Rensburg and then he started stabbing her a dozen times and scratching her with a knife.
She was taken to hospital for treatment and a few days later was sent home to make a recovery.
