DA councillor Moosa Bhamjee said he came to the area in December and it was clean and now barely after two months it is back to square one.
“The area was cleaned and people from other areas came to dump here. This is not a dumping area, but people live her. We need to find a solution to this problem. How can you expect people to live in this area while other people are dumping?” he asked.
Some people were found collecting recyclable materials from the illegal dumping place.
According to Cllr Bhamjee something needs to be done to correct the situation as the more the area is cleaned, the more people dumps their rubbish there. He said people need to be taught about recyclable materials to prevent more dumping and to save the area.
