Found on the other side

“I was away from my car for about 20 minutes, when it was stolen,” said Mr Lawrence Ngobeni.

Ngobeni’s vehicle was stolen in Delville Street on January 9 in the afternoon.
“I parked near OK Centre and went to the internet café. I was on the net for about 15 minutes and when I walked back to my car it was gone,” he said.

Ngobeni reported the incident to the police stationed nearby, explaining that his maroon Hyundai Elantra had been stolen. Four hours later police were able to recover the vehicle. It had been kept on the other side of the shopping centre.

“It took me the whole day to go through the clearing process, first I had to retrieve my car from the police station, then I had to have the roadworthy certificate done again at the Licensing Department, but at least I have my car back,” said Ngobeni.
