Man shot dead in an open field in Extension 12

Suspects wanted for murder in open field.

Police in Vosman are looking for four suspects after a man was shot dead in an open field in Extension 12.

According to the police, 25-year-old Musa Steven Skosana of Kleinwater Farm in Balmoral was driving a Ford Bantam bakkie on December 24 at about 23:30 to visit his girlfriend. A friend accompanied Skosana.

It is said that Skosana phoned his 19-year-old girlfriend to say that he was on his way. While the girlfriend was still waiting for Skosana, she had to move to another spot seeing that he was taking a long time to arrive.

After 10 minutes she saw people running in one direction, she followed them only to find that Skosana had been shot in his right shoulder.
The friend stated that four unknown men approached them while they in the open field, and demanded money and the car keys. During the commotion Skosana tried to drive away and he was hit in the right shoulder and could not control the car, which drove into a hole in the field. The friend noticed that Skosana could not move or respond and noticed that blood was coming from his shoulder. He asked for help and the police were called to the scene.
