Video: Traffic pileup on N12 after trucks collide
The N12 highway towards Ogies was blocked off after two heavy vehicles collided.
On Friday December 19, at around 10:00, the incident occurred after the tire of a truck burst. The driver allegedly slowed to pull off when another truck crashed into him. The massive impact, as steel collided with steel, tore of the entire roof of one of the heavy vehicles.
Paramedics from Langamed Emergency Management said that when they arrived on scene the smashed up roof seemed at first glance to be another vehicle. “It looks much worse than it is,” a bystander on scene had told. Miraculously both of the truck drivers escaped without injury.
Majour delays expected, use alternative route if possible.
