Sentimental jewellery stolen

A very distraught Ms Pamela Richards is looking for jewellery stolen during a burglary from her house.

During the morning of Thursday, November 20 her house in Plumer Street was broken in to, and jewellery was stolen.
“Unfortunately I don’t have any photos.  Most of the items are sentimental pieces, and probably not worth a great deal.  The silver pieces are, naturally, more expensive, but of no sentimental value,” Ms Richards said.

“The item I most want back is a short necklace of small blue crystal beads interlinked with narrow ‘gold’ bars.”
Ms Richards said she always thought of it as Victorian, but it probably isn’t.  It was given to her as a present 64 years ago when she was only eight years old.

A substantial reward will be given to anyone who can give information that will lead to the arrest of the thief or thieves, and the recovery of the stolen items.

The officer in charge of the case is Capt Chris van der Merwe: 013 655 5216.
