On Monday morning, November 17 the roads around eMalahleni were wet as it rained most of the evening before and in the early hours of the morning.
It’s alleged that a truck travelling from Middelburg towards eMalahleni was on the wrong side of the road when it collided with all three cars.
The three vehicles were travelling from eMalahleni towards Middelburg when the accident happened.
The truck first collided with a white Daihatsu bakkie, thereafter crashing into a blue Toyota Etios, pushing it into the veldt and then a white Nissan Hardbody was also hit.
The driver of the Etios sustained serious injuries and was taken to Life Cosmos Hospital, where he is still currently recovering.
The passenger of the Etios succumbed to her injuries and died on scene.
The other drivers sustained minor injuries.
By Tuesday, November 18 the woman had not been identified.
