Models qualify for provincial modelling colours

Model Cup founded the wonderful world of modelling as a sport in 2000, launched in 2005, and since then have grown in leaps and bounds, pushing the standard for modelling as a sport across South Africa.

Their mission is to recognize all talent through modelling as a sport, to uplift, motivate, improve and educate the youth by giving them back hope and self-worth, without any discrimination, in a safe family environment.

South Africa has much talent, but not enough opportunity to give recognition to talent and Model Cup and b-U Models strive to give recognition to those who want to make a difference in their own lives and those of others.

Models competed in different divisions, including Ramp, Pageant, Photographic, Body, Beat and Freeze modelling.  Divisions are structured in such a manner that every model (regardless of shape and size) can excel and get recognition in one or more of these divisions.

Like athletics, where field and track athletes compete separately, models can now compete in the divisions that suit their talents best.

On November 2, 10 models from b-U Models, Boipelo Matang, Innocent Thabang Hlope, Franco Schoeman,Mava Mzekandaba, Nokulunga Masoan, Nomsa Sithole, Suzaan Schoeman, Lucindi van Heerden, Michelle Coetzee and Jerminah Mokgoadi competed for their provincial colours in modelling at the Protea Hotel, OR Tambo Airport.
These models all achieved bronze, silver and/or gold results in their respective divisions and will compete at the nationals final event on December 13 and 14.
