Nine people were arrested in Balmoral after the syndicate was uncovered by a local vehicle recovery company.
According to a spokesperson for Cyber Search Mr Martin Bezuidenhout they tracked a missing vehicle to a secluded location in Balmoral where they found and helped to arrest nine suspects.
The stolen truck and the trailer were also recovered.
“The men are suspected to be members of a vehicle robbery syndicate operating in the Bronkhorstspruit, eMalahleni and Delmas areas,” said Bezuidenhout.
Of the nine suspects arrested two people may be linked to armed robbery and another two are believed to be buyers of stolen vehicles. The case was opened with the Bronkhorstpruit SAPS.
