Stork with seven babies visits the hospital

Life Cosmos Hospital Maternity Ward was filled with a whole lot of babies, as three mothers gave birth altogether to seven babies a few days apart.

In three days, from October 13 to 16, Life Cosmos Hospital was blessed with 21 babies born in the hospital.
“Among these babies, we had one set of triplets and two sets of twins as well,” said Ms Lizelle Jordt, Marketing and Communications Co-Ordinator of Life Cosmos Hospital.

Ms Mpho Ntuli was still relaxing at home when her water broke. She went to Life Cosmos Hospital, where a C-section was done on Sunday, October 12 for the delivery of her triplet girls.
As Mpho was pushed into theatre, tears rolled her face because she had been waiting nine months to see and hold her precious girls.

Mpho went to theater late that evening, the first girl was taken out at 21:55, she weighed 2.38 kg and was 50cm long. The second girl was taken out a minute later weighing 2.36kg and was 50cm long.
One minute later the third baby was born weighing a healthy 2.60kg and two centimeters longer than her sisters.
The names of the girls are Zanda, Azande, and Zianda.

“They are such a blessing to me and I am so happy with what I have been blessed with,” said Mpho.
Mpho’s Aunt also had triplets and they are 24 years old now.

For now Mpho will have her hands full as they will each want attention from their mother.
The first set of twins was born on Monday, October 13 and they were beautiful little boys.
Their mother previously gave birth to another set of boys.

“We have not finalised their names yet and they are very naughty babies, but I am blessed to have them,” said their mother.
On October 15 Ms Sandra Johnson was pushed into theatre as she waited for the arrival of her twin girls.
Within minutes the babies were out and Sandra got to hear that first cry from them.

“I first had a miscarriage and then God blessed me with two precious girls,” said an overwhelmed Sandra.
She named them Kimiah and Kiara Zwane, they are not identical twins.
“They are such good babies, they only cry when they want milk,” said Sandra.

Life Cosmos Hospital would like to congratulate the new parents once again and wishes them luck with the new chapter in their lives,” said Ms Jordt.
