Vosman police tackle 79 suspects

Vosman Police Station managed to eradicate some of the problems that exist in their communities by getting rid of the culprits that commit such crimes. The arrest is a warning to those who are thinking of committing crimes.

In the past week, 79 suspects were arrested for various crimes. Altogether 14 were held for theft; 21 for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm; five for possession of drugs; three for shoplifting; three for house breaking and stealing; four for causing malicious damage to property; four for robbery; one for discharging a firearm in public; three for business robberies, one for murder, three for rape, six for being drunk in public and five were held for driving under the influence of alcohol.

One person each was arrested for hit and run, selling liquor without a licence, trespassing with intention to steal, possession of counterfeit goods and the last for being an illegal immigrant.

Vosman Police have also been concerned about the number of pedestrians being killed on the N4.
Captain Klaas Maloka said that pedestrians crossing the highway should use the bridge.

At the moment there are plans to decrease the number of deaths and accidents that occur on the N4, especially between Balmoral and Ferrobank.
