Dangerous driving will not be tolerated

Recently a person was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The suspect was seen by a patrol vehicle allegedly driving dangerously down Beatty Street. On October 11 at 01:50 the driver of a white Honda was apparently steering his vehicle down the middle of the solid white line, halfway in the lane of oncoming traffic.

The police apparently saw the driver skip the red traffic light at an intersection in Beatty Street and immediately pulled the vehicle over.

He apparently did not have his driver’s license on him. The suspect was taken to Witbank Hospital for a blood alcohol test and appeared this week in Witbank Magistrate’s Court.

The annual holiday operations, that the SAPS conducts every year, aim to reduce casualties and stem the increase of crime through more visual policing and operations.
