Nasty advertising removed

A community and parents were fed up with the nasty advertising that is everywhere along the roads, stop signs and at each corner in and around town. They made it their mission to remove them and hoped that they will stay off.

Ignus van den Berg and his family, along with other community members took to the streets on Wednesday, September 24 to remove the illegal advertising strewn across every surface where it can stick.

They took a high pressure pump and started along Gordon Road, Highveld Park to remove the advertising. Some of the group members were in Extension 8 and others were around Witbank High School area in a plight to remove these posters.

“It does not look good when you are driving around with children in the car, even as an adult you do not want to see such things being advertised so callously,” said Van den Berg as he reached for his pump to fire away at the posters.

The group pleads with other members of the communities in eMalahleni to do their bit and help remove these posters around their area.
“As there are so many of them, it may not seem to make a difference because they are everywhere, but I promise you if everyone removed at least five, we could soon have no posters of this kind stuck all over the place,” concluded Van den Berg.
