After many years, a 90-year-old woman finally received a house she can call her own. The elderly woman was given an RDP home to live in, during the last years of her life. She said to her children that she would like to own a place of her own before her days on earth came to an end.

On September 9 Mr Theo van Vuuren, Emalahleni administrator, along with other municipal officials handed over a house to Gogo Sarah Ntuli. She was overjoyed and happy to have her own house.

She and her children ululated as the keys were handed over. The excitement of her joy filled the air at the local municipal building as people gathered and witnessed the spectacular emotion-filled time for Gogo Ntuli. She was accompanied by her two daughters, Beauty Matlala and Johanna Skosana, a granddaughter, Linah Soka and great-grandchild, Blessing Matlala when receiving her house.

Her receipt of the house will surely create lasting memories for Gogo Ntuli, as now she will be able to enjoy her retirement at her own home. Her children will now be able to visit with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to fill the house with laughter, home cooked meals and create memories for Gogo that will keep her very happy.

The children will also now be able to spend more time with Gogo, as she will always be home and they can pop in for a visit at any time.
Gogo Ntuli was more than ecstatic at the handover ceremony held for her, all she wanted to do was go to her new house and see it for herself.
“I am so happy that I finally have my own place,” said Gogo Ntuli. Her children and were happy for her and said that at least now their mother can feel at home.

Gogo Ntuli could not stop talking about how the house was and already had plans as to how she is going to decorate it from the inside and right out to the garden.

“Many will be blessed for their troubles to get me a home,” she said.
