Two friends went out over the weekend with the intention of just enjoying their drinks and having a good time talking and dancing, the miscalculated moves made after they left one place for another saw one of them being raped by the end of the night.
On Friday, September 12 two women went out to a local restaurant to have fun and just enjoy the start of the weekend. By the time the place was about to close for business on the day, three men had joined the women at their table and an outing for two turned into a social gathering between friends.
They left the restaurant a little after 01:00 to their next destination and at about 03:00 made their way to their final destination where they would sleep off the night and rest for the next day.
Hunger struck and that was the gap that was created for an unsuspecting woman to be raped by one of the men who they were with for the last few hours of their night.
The rape happened as the pair returned from buying food and drinks from a nearby garage. Before making their way home the suspect made a pit stop in a deserted area where he raped the woman who had accompanied him.
The 28-year-old suspect was later arrested after a case was opened against him the following morning.
