Vodacom Mpumalanga addresses connectivity problem in Nkangala District

Earlier this morning, Vodacom data services were severely affected by a transmission cable brake in our core network that affected customers in the Bronkhorstspruit to Middleburg area.

Earlier this morning, Vodacom data services were severely affected by a transmission cable brake in our core network that affected customers in the Bronkhorstspruit to Middleburg area. All services have now been restored.

At this point the indication is that was due to infrastructure development/road works, but not yet confirmed.  The majority such severe network impacting failures in the past few months were due to these types of development and secondly theft and vandalism at our base station sites.

Our technicians are constantly monitoring the network to ensure there is no further service impact due to this today. Vodacom apologise for any inconvenience caused.
