Witbank SAPS arrested 61 suspects during the past week’s operations and more are sure to follow as the force has tightened their security.
The arrests made were for the following: 18 shoplifting; seven for theft; another seven were driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol; eight were held for rape; three for possession of counterfeit cigarettes; four for possession of housebreaking implements; four were arrested for murder; one was driving public without a public drivers’ permit, one for intimidation and domestic violence; six were held for business robberies and two were in possession of dangerous weapons.
