Looking into the issues of Ward 29 (Video)

Mr Theo van Vuuren, municipal administrator, heard the concerns and complaints of community members in Extension 12 Ward 29 at a public meeting.

Mr Theo van Vuuren is standing with the crowd of concerned resident during the meeting on August 5.

The community members marched to the community hall on August 5 where Van Vuuren met them.

As he heard their appeals for working electricity and better road conditions among other things, he promised them that he will have feedback next week. Representatives from the community will meet with him at the municipal offices to discuss the feedback.

A woman who has been living in the area since 1998 has expressed her appreciation that he came out personally to hear their concerns.

She said: “Ek like hom, ek like hom met my julle hart.” Other residents seemed to share the sentiment that their concerns are not falling on deaf ears.
