On Sunday, July 13 at 08:30 Ms Lebo Sekgobela from Old Coronation made the gruesome discovery when she found a man lying dead on her stand.
She called Witbank police and a constable on duty visited the scene.
When he arrived and walked around the home, he found the deceased lying on the ground.
On further investigation he noticed that his left hand had been cut off and he also had stab wounds on the back of his head.
Local Criminal Record Centre visited the scene and an investigation was conducted as any evidence was picked up and recorded.
The police will continue with their investigation.
