Celebrating youth month
Different activities took place when members of New Creation Christ Ambassadors celebrated Youth Month recently.
Children of the church participated in music, dance, poetry and other activities. They sang solos, duets and trios and many were impressive in their presenting.
They were welcomed and told to use all the available opportunities and leave a legacy.
The celebration was held under the theme ‘Now and Beyond’.
Ms Vera Sithole thanked the young people and God for changing her life.
She thanked Pastor Thulani Dlepu for starting a church and all the people who supported him. The judges were also thanked.
“I want to tell the children that God loves them and want to encourage their parent to support them. We want to use art to develop the young minds, art is used as therapy. Children need to be encouraged not to look down on themselves. Stand up and be the animal inside you. This is the time to be yourself, do not lean on your friends or parents. We want to see the God given talents in all of you. We want to build quality in you,” stated Ms Sithole.
Ms Sithole also related a story of two lions.
The children were later presented with certificates and those who did well received prizes of colouring books, school bags and dictionaries. Others received trophies.
