Mr Doctor Mbela told how he was hijacked driving to Vosman on Wednesday, July 2 when he gave two passengers a lift in his Volkswagen Combi.
“I was driving from Duvha when I stopped to pick up a man,” Mbela said. They were on their way to Vosman (on the off ramp) where another man allegedly jumped into his vehicle and revealed a firearm.
Mbela was allegedly forced by the gunman to continue driving to Ogies, where he was told to get out of the vehicle at a garage. The suspects drove away in the Combi and Mbela had to make his own way to the police station.
The registration of the Combi that was reported stolen is BVJ 679 MP.
The suspects have not yet been arrested.
