On May 16, police were out on patrol when they were called to head out to the Verena Road.
On arriving on scene they noticed a maroon Nissan Juke parked alongside the gravel road. Police questioned the driver of the vehicle who explained to them that one of the cattle watchers had seen a pair of sandals in the nearby bushes.
Police searched the area and at first found clothing and shoes, then they came upon the dead body of a man aged between 30 and 35 years old.
His hands were bound behind his back; he had a blue bandage across his chest.
