Crash at Ferro bank leaves driver in despair

“The driver bought his car about a week ago for R60 000, and now look at it,” said one of the tow truck drivers on scene.

An accident occurred on May 10 at about 20:30 when Mr Petros Sibiya was travelling to eMalahleni in his newly purchased maroon Nissan Almera.

According to his and the driver of a white Toyota’s statements, a Volkswagen Golf 6 allegedly came up from behind at a high speed and collided with the Almera, causing Sibiya to lose control of his vehicle, colliding with the Toyota.

“I am waiting to hear if my car will be repairable, I can’t believe it happened,” said Sibiya.

Sibiya was slightly injured in the accident, while his passenger sustained slight injuries and was tended to by paramedics from Langamed Emergency Management Services. The scene was quickly cleared up and traffic resumed along the N4 Highway just off from Ferro Bank.
