Tuck shop owner gunned down in Rietspruit

Police are on the hunt for the murderer of a tuck shop owner in Rietspruit.

On May 2 a 32-year-old foreign national was shot dead in a robbery at his tuck shop. It is alleged the man was accosted by the three armed men just before sunset.

They went into the tuck-shop and demanded cash, it is not certain what transpired, but they shot the victim in the chest and fled the scene with cigarettes, airtime and an undisclosed amount of money.

The deceased was certified dead by the paramedics on arrival and a case of business robbery and murder is investigated by the police, no suspects were arrested yet.
