The boathouse leading to Witbank Dam stored a blue and white Sensation powerboat.

It is speculated that the thieves approached from the
water and somehow towed the boat to another location where they removed the black Mercury Optimax 3.2 litre engine.

The specific model is one of only six in the country, according to the dealership. The engine is worth a small fortune.

Apart from that, the thieves also stripped the boat of
various other electronics such as GPS and battery.

The boat was found floating in the river near the Witbank Dam inflow.

According to Van der Westhuizen, pipes, cables, various accessories also need to be replaced due to damage.

He is offering a R10 000 reward that will lead to the return of the engine and the arrest of the suspects.
