Round Table puts new man to the chair

Round Table recently held their Induction dinner, appointing a new chairman and electing a new council.

The Induction Dinner took place on March 15 at Smokey Mountain. The Summer Conference is a fellowship weekend where the new Mpumalanga (provincial) Area Chairman is inducted and the new Council for the year is appointed.

Ladies of the Tablers go on a Ladies Tour while the men discuss the year’s plan ahead. Projects and events are planned and after all the work is done a black tie event was held. Mr Neville Kotze, the past area chairperson inducted Mr Tiaan van Heerden (Round Table 57) into power.

A new council was also elected, namely Messrs Shawn Bauer, Andre Lea, Neville Kotze, Tiaan van Heerden and Carl van Staden.
March 14 marked the fellowship evening and the Tablers got together for a casual braai and drinks, Saturday saw the meetings and ladies tour taking place and the induction evening was held that night.

In the year 2013/2014 the six Round Tables in Mpumalanga managed to raise and donate R250 000 to various charity organizations. Some of this money helped the Good Morning Angels on Jacaranda FM, this does not include clothing, blankets and food given out during the year.

“October 2013 saw Mpumalanga raise R107 000 for the CANSA organization of which Witbank raised R51 200,” said Van Heerden.
