The killers were found and have been arrested. The court and investigators are still trying to find the motive behind the deaths of these two men at the hands of their killers.
The youths, aged 18-19, were arrested in connection to the kidnapping of Nkululeko Masango and Khumbudzo Mufumadi as well as their murders. The men were found at Kromdraai Plots and Loskop Dam area, respectively, after having been reported as missing by family members.
The three suspects made their first appearances on February 20 and reappeared again in court for their bail applications on February 26. The legal representatives of the suspects abandoned the bail application with reason for fear of safety for the suspects and due to their ages and sensitivity of the case, the trial was requested to be transferred to the High Court.
The next court appearance of the suspects will be on March 12 to hear the request response from the magistrate and for trail date setting.
