Pavement flowing down the road

A water pipe that runs underneath the front of a house in Blanchville burst in the early hours of the morning while everyone was asleep.

They woke up to an entire yard filled with water on February 18.

The family’s entire yard was in ankle deep water on the morning of February 17.

The situation is so bad that their driveway lifted out
because huge holes was formed in their driveway that actually trapped their cars in their garage.

The owner’s truck was trapped in one of the huge holes
that damaged the vehicle. “You can actually see bits of our pavement running down the steam of water in the road,” said the residents of the house. While waiting for a lift from friends to get to work, they saw the water visibly rising.

Part of their frustration is that the same stretch of pipe
was broken in December last year as well.

Although the municipality supposedly fixed it, they left
the hole open. They apparently had to fill the hole themselves so that nobody could get hurt.

The municipality was contacted, however they could not respond before going to print.
