Bakkie stolen during the early hours of the morning

A shop owner and his friend were seated in a vehicle together, when they were hijacked and the car was stolen.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning, February 18 at 04:30 when a man was parked outside Khadima Centre in Botha Street in his Nissan 1400. He was in the bakkie with a friend.

They were surprised to see an unknown man with a firearm in his hand standing next to them.

The suspect started to threaten the driver and passenger inside the vehicle and said he wanted money and any valuables.
As the suspect searched them inside the vehicle, he took a cell phone and R60.

While this was happening, the driver of the vehicle noticed another unknown man approaching the car, also armed. They forced the driver and passenger out of the vehicle and drove off with the Nissan 1400 bakkie.
