Two wheels take a life

The crowd of residents gather around the accident scene in Tasbet Park, were Heindrich Kind lost his life after losing control of his bike.

He apparently died from colliding with a lamppost and a parked car that was standing in its owner’s driveway.

Heindrich Kind died in a tragic motorbike accident on February 1.

According to Jolanda Klopper who was his fiancé, they were on
their way back from visiting a friend in Tasbet Park on February 1,
at about 17:00.

With much sadness she recounts what she remembers of that day.
It was standard practise for her to drive home in her car with the three children, while Heindrich followed on his Blue Suzuki bike.

However this time as she turned a corner and looked in her rear
view mirror, she noticed that he was not behind her anymore. She immediately knew that something was wrong, so she turned around to look for him when she came across the dreadful accident scene.

Emergency Services declared him dead on the scene of the accident.

Nobody witnessed the accident therefore it is not clear what caused Kind to lose control of his bike. They speculate that after he lost control the bike slid out underneath him and he was flung into the lamppost. The bike was allegedly found underneath the front of the stationary Hyundai.

“He was a very happy person. He never got angry,” said Klopper tearfully. “He loved everybody,” she added.

A big crowed gathered on the scene of the accident, as residents
came out of their houses to see what the commotion was about.
“I just heard a load noise so I came outside to have a look, but I did not expect the accident to be this bad,” said a resident who lives a few houses away from where the accident happened.

According to Capt Eddie Hall a case of culpable homicide was opened to determine the cause of death. This is standard practise for all unnatural deaths like in this accident. This is commonly referred to as an inquest. “Doctors at the pathology department conducted a post mortem earlier this week.”

Ms Klopper and Mr Kind were planning on getting married sometime next year. She has two of her own children, a daughter and a son. He has a daughter. Kind is leaving behind his mother and father, his sisters, his three children and his fiancé as well as other family.

His funeral will be held on February 6 at the Christian Life Church in Reyno Ridge at 14:00 and the viewing will take place at the funeral home from 12:00.
