Shave, spray or stencil

Cansa Shavathon is one of South Africa’s best-loved events in support of a very worthy cause, namely showing solidarity with those affected by cancer.

Losing one’s hair is a common side-effect of cancer therapy – so shaving your head has become a symbolic gesture of support for cancer survivors.

Colouring your hair or paying a ‘bail out fee’ have become options for those who prefer not to shave, or who can’t shave on the day.  For those who like to be actively engaged and to make a difference, Shavathon embraces volunteers. Their support is invaluable.
This year celebrates the 11th national Cansa Shavathon.

Show your support by bringing your loved ones along. The options are endless; you can shave, spray or stencil your hair, or do all three.

Cansa Shavathon is being held in workplaces and organisations from the Monday, February 24 to Friday, February 28 and on Saturday, March 1 in the Highveld Mall at the Truworths court.

“We are always looking for volunteers to help us and will also be doing the corporate Shavathon during the week of February 24 to 28. So if any companies wish to be part of Shavathon they can contact me,” invited Ms Angela Rodi, regional manager Cansa Highveld and Cosmos/Central Business Unit.
Ms Rodi can be contacted on 013 656 5420.
