Castration to seal sex crimes

The amount of sexual offences worldwide, yields shocking statistics all over the world and not just in South Africa.

The few who are sentenced, are not given or shown any remorse and that is a good thing, for if they cared not for the feelings of helpless women and girls, who should have a heart for them.

The worst thing to happen to a person, is to be forced to do something against their own will, even more frustrating, is sex-hungry or power-seeking males, who choose to intimidate young girls and women and force them into situations no one would want to find themselves in. A number of rape cases are reported each week and the experiences differ, but the crime is the same. Rape is a crime, no matter the circumstances surrounding it.

In Naauwpoort two women were violated. The first victim was raped by her employer at any given time of the day, when the employer allegedly felt the need to have sex with his employee. The woman in question alleged that the interaction between her and her boss have been going on for some years and because she did not want to lose her job, she did as the employer told her.

After the deed the employer would apparently give her money and tell her that her job was safe, until next time. The woman eventually found the courage to stand up to her boss and told him that she was going to report him to the police. She said that the employer would signal to her that it was time and she would just follow suit, as she relied on her income from that job to support her family. The employer allegedly denied these allegations but an investigation is being done by the police.

Also in Naauwpoort, a young girl was raped by a man from the community, on January 11, at about 14:00. The child was brought to her mother by a neighbour who said that the girl told him that she feels pain when she has to urinate. The mother checked her daughter and discovered that she had no underwear on. When she asked her what had happened, the child said that a man had raped her and she took her mother to where the incident occurred and the man was also allegedly not far from the scene of the crime. The suspect was later arrested and is due to appear in court for child molestation and rape.

Another victim was prey to a rapist at Coronation on January 8 at 20:00 when her sister had asked her to go and sleep at their neighbour’s place because she was expecting her boyfriend to come and spend the night. When the girl arrived at her neighbour’s place, the neighbour, only known as Tinus, raped her and allegedly chased her away from his place after the incident.

The girl then went to her brother’s friend’s place, as both her options of places to sleep, had failed her. Her brother’s friend apparently offered her his room in his house and he went to bed with his kids. However, the girl alleges that when she woke up in the morning, she found herself naked and wet and the brother’s friend was also lying naked next to her.

She allegedly questioned him and shouted in anger at him and the friend allegedly asked her not to tell anyone what had happened. The girl left and went to the police station to open a case of rape against both suspects. No arrests have been made.
