Citylads responded with a shot at goal with one of their player’s breakthrough but the Mbombela goalkeeper did well to save the shot

Witbank Citylads won the battle of the Citylads when they beat Mbombela Citylads.

The local Citylads showed that they are the real Citylads when they beat Citylads from Mbombela 3-1, in a game played at the Lynnville Stadium on Saturday, December 7.

From the onset Mbombela pushed forward for an early goal forcing Witbank Citylads to defend; they had two shots at goal in the early stages of the game but both went wide.

Citylads responded with a shot at goal with one of their player’s breakthrough but the Mbombela goalkeeper did well to save the shot.

Another Citylads shot was saved for a corner-kick which went wide as well.

Mbombela substituted one of their players while Citylads score their first goal with a low shot.

In response Mbombela had their shot over the bar and Citylads place-kick was defended for a corner-kick.

The teams break for half with the Citylads leading 1-0.

In the second half Citylads pressed hard to increase the score and they visited Mbombela goal area several times.

Mbombela came strongly in the second half attacking from all angles leaving their back open for Citylads to attack them.

Mbombela nearly scored with a low shot while Citylads score their second goal via a penalty.

Citylads added another goal to make it 3-0 and Mbombela were also awarded a penalty and score to make it 3-1.
