Nkangala Athletic Academy athletes dominated GSD marathon
Karabo Mdodana, Samukelisiwe Mdlalose and Dintle Mapheelle finished in overall top ten claiming junior and overall prizes
Nkangala Athletic Academy (NAA) athletes dominated during the Gert Sibande District Marathon 10km event held recently.
The marathon was held in Ermelo on Saturday, March 30 when Moses Mahlangu won the male 10km and Thulisile Amon won the female category.
On the development phase Nkosinathi Skosana, who came back with position 4 during the South African school track championships, Scelo Mcwango and Nhlakanipho Nyambi manage a podium finish in the junior male category and in a female junior category.

“It feels good to see Nkangala Athletic Academy back in winning ways as for in a race attended by best athletes from all over South Africa and some parts of Africa. The performance displayed by the team is a true reflection of mini camp outcome we had during the school holidays and is a proof that we have one of the best development structures in Mpumalanga. We are looking forward to the start of cross-country league on Saturday where most of our young stars are keen to prove themselves,” says chairperson of NAA Emmanuel Mabaso.
