While going to fetch some more beers a man was robbed.
On June 29, Mr Brian Masimula was robbed while making a stop at a tavern to return to his brother’s son’s traditional ceremony.
Masimula was walking from the ceremony to a tavern where he met a man and asked for directions to the nearest tavern. The man showed him the way and while walking, he and the man were beset by robbers.
“I wanted to get some more beers, while walking back we were approached by four guys,” said Masimula.
One of the men drew a firearm and pointed it in Masimula’s direction, holding him at gunpoint.
“The others searched us and they took my phone, wallet and wristwatch. They then ran off,” he said.
Masimula made his way back to the ceremony where he explained to his brother what had happened, the following day he reported the incident to the police.
